What do you teach / what is your ‘title’ at school?
- 5th grade Science
How are you involved in education?
- How am I not? My colleagues will tell you, I spend too much time at school. I enjoy my “prep” time, coming up with new ideas and activities for my students to make them think about what they are learning. I used to be ready with answers, now I’m ready with questions for them to find the answers. I love the technology direction of our school (which is not to say I good at making it all happen); I enjoy the process of learning and how it will encourage my students to be problem solvers instead of problem creators.
What does your ideal school or classroom look like?
- Ideally, my classroom would be students teaching one another, helping one another, and taking responsibility for their own learning. I am very interested in the flipped classroom to see how it works.Students actively discussing and problem solving would be wonderful.

- Google folders for student’s work.
