  • Special Education Teacher/Alternative School Teacher/Department Head

How are you involved in education?

  • During the day I teach resource English classes. I am also department head over many of the electives and resource classes. Two nights per week I teach History at the GOLD Academy Alternative School. I am also currently involved in the Downtown Clinton History Project. I have a group of students researching the history of the downtown buildings to display during the reunion celebration in May.

What does your ideal school or classroom look like?

  • My ideal classroom would consist of a group of students that want to be there and learn as much as they can. They would absorb everything and strive to learn more.

If you were to lead a session at Edcamp, what would it be about?

  • I would like to attend sessions about Core Curriculum, Flipping the Classroom, and integrating iPads.
